Ars Technica has a fascinating profile of Huston Huddleston, a man use used his own money to rescue what remained of bridge replicas of the USS Enterprise-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation.
The sets, particularly the captain's chair, are in rough shape and are being restored. When the bridge is completed, Huddleston wants to use the bridge for interactive tours, weddings and charity events.
