Working on a comic strip, and need to put in words, or dialogue? There are certain comic book conventions about how lettering is done, and how sound is represented. Since your readers can't "hear" what your characters are saying, you have to give them visual clues to make sure they understand what tone of voice your characters are using, and what sounds they hear.
The website Blambot has a nice, short lesson on proper comic book lettering, and how to represent certain types of speech. Click on one of the illustrations to take you there!
