Steve Hindy, of SHARK (Showing Animals Respect and Kindness) has tangled with the police on numerous occasions while legally protesting the activities of groups that harm animals. In this latest incident, he was illegally stopped and detained by Oregon's Malheur County Sheriff's Deputies, who were acting strictly at the request of the Jordan Valley Big Loop Rodeo.
The rodeo has the local police at their beck and call.
After the illegal stop by the police, the officers admitted the possibility they might get sued, captured by their dashboard camera. Hindy obtained the dashboard camera footage through a FOI request, which clearly demonstrates the illegal conduct of these officers.
